TRIP Riverside County

Through TRIP Riverside County, enrolled individuals who can’t drive arrange rides with trusted friends, neighbors, or family members. ILP reimburses riders 45¢ per mile so they can compensate their drivers.

TRIP Riverside County helps you get there

TRIP helps people who can’t drive get the transportation they need—at no cost to them.

To get started, riders enroll in TRIP and complete a simple approval process. Once accepted, riders choose their own volunteer driver—usually a friend, neighbor, or someone they already know and trust.

Rides are arranged directly between the rider and their driver, at times that work for both of them.

After a trip, the rider submits basic travel information. TRIP then sends a reimbursement payment to the rider, who uses it to reimburse their volunteer driver.

TRIP serves all of Riverside County — from the Coachella Valley and Desert communities to Temecula, Hemet, the Pass Area, and the City of Riverside.

Already giving someone rides?

If you drive a friend, neighbor, or family member who can't get around on their own, TRIP may be able to help cover your gas.

When a rider enrolls in TRIP, they name you as their volunteer driver. After each month, TRIP sends the rider a reimbursement check — which they use to pay you back for mileage. No special training or certification required. You drive when it works for both of you.
